Established in 1984, Jerry Cole the owner of B.J. Herp Supplies (BJHS) has always been dedicated to the responsible keeping of reptiles in captivity.

One of our main focus points at BJHS is to expand knowledge & the care of reptiles within the captive environment. We only produce and deal with the very best UK Captive bred livestock and provide you with the correct and best information to keep and breed your specific species in Captivity.

The aim of this new website is simple, to pass on several decades of experience from several well know sources and breeders, that in their time have kept and bred 100’s of different species of exotic animals.

From beginner to experienced keepers, we all learn new and exciting things about our reptiles everyday.

If you are new to reptile keeping or you are about to buy your first reptile, we hope that you will take time to read through the basic requirements & needs to care for your animal. There is a great deal of mis-information around on the internet and also direct from pet shops, who simply don’t know and don’t care for your animals well being.

The basics are fairly simple and hopefully we will be able to explain many of them within this website.

Our on-line shop is stocked with over 1000 reptile products, along with all the animals that we breed here ourselves at BJHS.

Our photo gallery, contains 1000’s of pictures that we have collected from over 25 years of breeding reptiles. We also have images provided by some of the reptile curators from the most popular zoo’s around the UK.

Our care sheets section will be added to constantly, from the beginners animals like corn snakes, leopard geckos, tortoises and ball pythons, through to the 1’000s of other species that us and our collegues have delt with over the years.
